Why are we here?

Naandi is committed to reviving prospects and securing livelihoods of India’s most vulnerable groups: girls, women, and smallholding farmers.

We create community-based ecosystems that foster courage and opportunity amongst these individuals, with the ultimate aim of shaping India into a more equitable, self-sufficient nation.

Where do we work?

Naandi implements scaleable livelihood initiatives from 30 tribal, rural, and urban locations across 9 states in India.

What are our challenges?

How do we quantify our impact upon a girl’s life, a woman farmer, an agrarian community, or a diverse ecosystem?

Should we focus on how many of our Nanhi Kali girls completed their first 10 years of school with daily emotional support from our women mentors?

Or, should we survey the young women we skill to ask if they feel more confident to pursue their career aspirations?

For our agricultural livelihoods, do we focus solely upon increases in soil organic carbon, beneficial insects, and ecological diversity from Regenerative Agricultural practices?

Or, is it more important to share that our farmers, despite their 500% increase in per capita incomes, maintain their traditional ways of life without expressing habits of modern consumerism?

Recognising and sustaining the immeasurable impacts is Naandi’s greatest challenge.

1,300 tribal farmers transformed into millionaires through their dedication to excellence in regenerative agriculture and their cultivations of premium quality, organically certified Araku Coffee

Araku Coffee recognised as a global brand of indigenous origins with TTT acclaim (trust, transparency, and traceability) featured in niche markets and sold at premium prices around the world

Partnered with 130,000 smallholding farmer families across India for expanding regenerative agriculture to impart soil fertility, biodiverse cropping, nutritional security, and increase per capita incomes

Planted 40.5 million trees for functional food forests and ecosystem services with 85% survival rates and capacities to sequester 5 million tonnes of Co2 over the next 2 decades.

Naandi’s regenerative agricultural model, coined Arakunomics™, won Rockefeller’s 2050 Food Vision Award and is published as a G20 policy recommendation for nutritional and environmental security
